What People are Saying About I Do Silver
New Silver Sixpence
When I was looking for my something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue, I was told about I Do Silver. I had never heard of the last line of the tradition, which is “and a silver sixpence in your shoe”
I knew that this would be unique, and didn’t know anyone who has ever had this. My silver sixpence arrived, beautifully presented. I wore the silver sixpence in my wedding shoe, and it made me feel special, and a subtle touch of feeling unique. I still treasure the sixpence, and will pass it down to my daughter when she gets married.
King George V Silver Sixpence
I recently went to a wedding in Edinburgh and got a sixpence for the bride and groom. They are from the UK and Canada and got a 1927 coin as it was the year of the first successful flight across the Atlantic. They were so thankful and happy with the gift that the bride cried. The presentation was first class. Thank you for making their special day even more special!
Queen Victoria's Silver Sixpence
I received my silver sixpence as a gift before our wedding from a close family friend. I’d only recently learnt about the sixpence tradition and was really excited when I received mine. This gift is something unique yet traditional.
I loved the thought and detail that had gone into the packaging and also the paper that was used inside. I’ve since learnt that this handmade paper is from Nepal and made in a sustainable way. I’m going to keep my sixpence in our wedding memory box with all our little bits from our special day.
I was given a Queen Victoria sixpence for my wedding day, and very pleased with everything to do with I Do Silver. I highly recommend them in every way.
I decided to have the top of the range sixpence, as our wedding was being held in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan at Hensol Castle. I wanted everything to be special and this added to the old tradition and made me feel I could keep it forever and pass it down generations. Lots of things are forgotten after the wedding, but this is the one item that will stay with us and be treasured.

This was a gift from my Dad and it was given to me the night before our wedding. Thank you Dad for such a wonderful moment shared. The sixpence was packed in a beautiful box, and is over 100 years old. It was an added surprise that just made the evening so special. Tears flowed.
